Straume at USCSA Nationals '24

Rocky Ski Travels to Oregon for USCSA National Championships Beginning Tuesday

MOUNT BACHELOR, Ore.- After a 2023-24 Nationals trip that garnered four Team National Titles, four Individual National Champions, and 25 All-American honors, the Battlin' Bears will seek further success in this year's national competition beginning Tuesday. 

The USCSA National Championship will be a four-day event hosted at Mount Bachelor Ski Resort in Bend, Oregon. The event will feature both downhill alpine events and freeski competitions.

Returning Accolades

Multiple Battlin' Bears will look to replicate their success from past seasons. Synne Kvinlog will look to achieve her third consecutive Skier Cross title, while she has also been an All-American in the Giant Slalom and has earned two All-American finishes in the Slalom. 

Fredrik Straume was the national runner-up in the Giant Slalom a season ago and swept the Giant Slalom and Slalom competition at the USCSA Western Region Championships. William Mjelde also earned All-American honors in the Giant Slalom last season, placing 11th overall. 

Reese Harman earned her first All-American honor in the Women's RailJam last season, placing sixth overall. 

Sara Akerstrom took eighth overall in the Women's SlopeStyle to earn All-American honors in 2023-24. 

Zachary Bion placed eighth overall in the Men's Slalom last season to earn Second Team All-American honors.
