BILLINGS, Mont.- Following an 'A' Standard finish and a new program record, sophomore John Spinti was named Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Track Athlete of the Week. 

John Spinti, a sophomore from Great Falls, Montana, ran the second-fastest 5,000-meter time in the NAIA this season, an altitude-adjusted finish of 14:24.63. His finish set a new program record, won the event at the Winter Series No. 1 Meet in Bozeman, and earned an 'A' Standard mark, the first of his career. 

The award marks the first of Spinti's career as a Battlin' Bear.
