BILLINGS, Mont.- After 24 seasons of leading the Battlin' Bear Soccer Programs, Head Women's Soccer Coach Richard Duffy is stepping down to pursue another professional opportunity.

Duffy's storied tenure began in 2001 as an assistant coach before he took the reins of the women's program in 2002. Over the next 24 seasons, he compiled a 223-153-36 record, capturing four conference regular-season titles and guiding the team to two NAIA National Tournament appearances. He departs ranked in the top 20 in the NAIA for active wins as a head coach.

His impact expanded in 2009 when he became the inaugural head coach of the men's soccer program. Over 15 seasons leading the men's team, Duffy amassed a 166-85-20 record while securing five conference regular-season titles, five conference tournament championships, and seven NAIA National Tournament appearances, highlighted by two historic runs to the National Quarterfinals.

A national search for the next head coach of Rocky Women's Soccer will begin immediately. Longtime assistant coach Kevin Luse has been named the interim head coach to lead the program during this transition.
