California guard joins Rocky Mountain College women’s basketball

Billings, Mont - Grace Estrada of Yucaipa, California, has signed a letter of intent to play women's basketball for Rocky Mountain College, Battlin' Bears coach Wes Keller announced Tuesday.

Estrada, a 5-foot-7 guard, averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals per game this season for the Thunderbirds, earning her most valuable player of the Citrus Belt League as well as first team all-league honors.

"Grace is an athletic lefty who can do a little bit of everything on the court," Keller said of Estrada."She comes from a very successful program, where she was a leader and top performer. Grace truly loves the game and has a great work ethic and we are excited to see how she develops."

Estrada plans to study biology and pre-medicine at Rocky, and will enroll with a 4.17 GPA. She is the daughter of Paul and Shanna Estrada.

Estrada on her decision: "I chose Rocky because I believe that the beautiful location, helpful faculty and coaches, and the pre-med program will help me achieve my future goals."
